Welcome to the ministry of New Life Baptist Church. We are glad you found our website. We hope we can answer all your questions about our church. We are a Church that abides by Apostolic doctrine found in the New Testament. We are located in Spartanburg South Carolina off of I-26
Our mission at New Life is to do the Great Commission. Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." As a Church we are to disciple the people of God and win the lost to Christ. We take great joy as a church that is involved in the Great Commission.
We are a local autonomous Church in Spartanburg South Carolina. We believe that God has given the local Church full authority to self-govern itself. Our goal as a Church is to simply proclaim "thus saith the Lord." In a day and age where Churches are shying away from preaching the Word, our Church is that much more determined to preach it. From the time little children are in the nursery, to the time they are teenagers, they are constantly being fed the Word of God. From the Pastor to the special speakers, we have one goal in mind 2 Timothy 4:2 "Preach the Word." Not talk about it or tell multiple life experiences, but rather instruct through preaching.
Hello, I am Pastor Stephen Boyce. I was hired in July of 2012 at New Life Baptist Church. My wife Kimberly and I have been married 4 years this year with our soon to be 2 year old son Jeremiah. We are excited about the ministry God has called us to here at New Life Baptist Church. I graduated from Ambassador Baptist College with a Theology Degree in 2011. I graduated from Bethany Divinity College with a Bachelors Degree in Bible in 2012. I also graduated from Bethany Divinity College with a Masters Degree in Bible in 2013. God called us to help with the youth at Crossroads Baptist Church in Columbus North Carolina. Through the Lord's leading, He brought us to New Life Baptist Church with the support of our Pastor Nathan Deatrick at Crossroads.
…in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Old and New Testaments.
…in the preservation of God’s Word through the Hebrew Masoretic Text and the Greek Textus Receptus.
…in God in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
…that God created the world in six literal twenty-four hour days.
…that all mankind is sinful, in need of salvation, and unable to save himself.
…that Christ died for the sins of all mankind and that salvation is by grace, through faith alone, based upon the finished work of Christ on the cross.
…in the bodily resurrection of Christ and His bodily ascension into heaven, where He now intercedes for believers.
…in the reality of Heaven and Hell.…that man was created as a responsible being and as such, he may choose to accept or resist the grace of God.
…in the eternal security of the believer.…that the local church is God’s institution to carry out the Great Commission.
…that the two ordinances of the local church are baptism by immersion for believers only and the Lord’s Supper as a memorial.
…in the pretribulational rapture of all believers.…in the premillennial return and millennial reign of the Lord Jesus Christ.
…in the judgment of believers at the Judgment Seat of Christ and the judgment of unbelievers at the Great White Throne.
…in the obligation of every believer to live a holy life and to witness to the lost of the saving power of Christ.
…that God is sovereign in the bestowment of all His gifts, and that the gifts of evangelists and pastor-teachers are sufficient for the perfecting of the saints for today.
…that speaking in tongues and the working of sign miracles gradually ceased as the New Testament Scriptures were completed and their authority became established.
